You agree that the information you provide is accurate, current, and not misleading. You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date.

You are responsible for all activity that happens through your account. You must not share your account, sell your account, transfer your account, or allow another person to use your account.

You may not create multiple accounts, fake accounts, automated accounts, or accounts intended to avoid restrictions, moderation actions, subscriptions, safety controls, or bans.

If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us as soon as possible at support@blurdy.co.

  • use another person’s photos, videos, profile text, or other content without permission;
  • harass, threaten, abuse, intimidate, stalk, exploit, pressure, shame, or harm other users;
  • send spam, scams, phishing messages, misleading commercial messages, or fraudulent requests;

  • attempt to bypass moderation, safety, subscription, virtual item, or access controls;
  • use Blurdy for anything unlawful, unsafe, harmful, or inconsistent with these Terms.

We may publish separate Community Guidelines and Safety Tips. Those documents form part of these Terms.

5. Safety and real-life interactions

Blurdy is an online platform. We do not guarantee the identity, intentions, background, character, safety, or behavior of any user.

You are responsible for your own interactions with other users, both inside and outside the app. Please use common sense, communicate carefully, and take appropriate safety precautions when meeting someone in person.

We recommend that you:

  • get to know someone before meeting;
  • meet in a public place for the first time;
  • tell a friend or trusted person about your plans;
  • arrange your own transportation;
  • do not send money or financial information to other users;
  • report suspicious, abusive, or unsafe behavior to us.

Blurdy does not generally conduct criminal background checks, identity verification checks, sex offender registry checks, or similar screenings on users. We may, where permitted by law and where appropriate for safety or legal reasons, review publicly available information, user reports, or other information available to us, but we do not guarantee that any user is safe, trustworthy, or accurately represented.

Blurdy is not responsible for what happens between users outside the app, but we may take action if we receive reports or discover behavior that may harm users, Blurdy, or the community.

6. User content

Blurdy allows you to create, upload, share, send, and display content, such as your profile text, photos, messages, interests, preferences, and other information (“User Content”).

You are responsible for your User Content. You confirm that:

  • you own your User Content or have the necessary rights to use and share it;
  • your User Content does not violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, applicable law, or the rights of another person;
  • your User Content is not misleading, harmful, abusive, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate.

You keep ownership of your User Content. However, by uploading or sharing User Content through Blurdy, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, copy, display, publish, distribute, modify, adapt, and use your User Content for the purpose of operating, providing, improving, promoting, moderating, and securing Blurdy.

This license ends when your User Content is deleted from Blurdy, except where the content has already been shared with other users, is stored in backups, is needed for legal, safety, moderation, evidence, dispute, or enforcement purposes, or where continued use is otherwise permitted by law.

We are not required to store, maintain, or provide copies of your User Content, messages, matches, or other account information, except where required by applicable law.

You should not upload or share content that you do not want other users to see.

7. Other users’ content

Other users may also share content through Blurdy, including profiles, photos, messages, prompts, interests, preferences, and other information (“Member Content”).

Member Content belongs to the user who posted it. You do not receive any ownership rights in other users’ content, and you may only use other users’ content and information for personal, dating-related use within Blurdy.

You must not copy, save, screenshot, share, publish, exploit, harass, stalk, scrape, or use another user’s content or personal information for commercial, unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized purposes.

We do not control everything users say or do. Member Content may be inaccurate, offensive, misleading, inappropriate, or unlawful. You should use your own judgment and report content or behavior that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

8. Messages and interactions

Blurdy may allow users to match, like, message, or otherwise interact with each other.

You are responsible for the messages and interactions you send. You must not use messages or interactions to harass, threaten, scam, exploit, pressure, manipulate, or harm another person.

We may review, restrict, remove, or process messages and related information where necessary for safety, moderation, fraud prevention, abuse detection, legal compliance, support, or enforcement of these Terms.

We do not guarantee that messages, matches, likes, interactions, or other account information will always be delivered, stored, available, or recoverable.

9. Reporting, blocking, moderation, and appeals

Users may be able to report, block, unmatch, or otherwise limit interactions with other users in the app.

We may use automated systems, user reports, manual review, safety tools, and moderation processes to help detect, review, and address potential violations of these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law.

We may investigate reports, review account activity, restrict features, remove content, issue warnings, suspend accounts, ban users, remove access to virtual items, or take other actions where we believe it is appropriate.

We may take action if conduct occurs inside Blurdy, through another platform, or offline, where that conduct may affect user safety, trust, or the Blurdy community.

We do not have to disclose all details of moderation decisions, especially where doing so could affect safety, privacy, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, or our ability to enforce these Terms.

If we suspend your account, remove content, restrict features, or take similar moderation action, you may contact us at support@blurdy.co to appeal the decision. Please explain why you believe the decision was incorrect and provide any relevant information.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide information about the action taken and available appeal options, unless we are not allowed to do so or doing so would create safety, security, fraud-prevention, legal, or privacy risks.

10. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store, and protect personal data.

By using Blurdy, you acknowledge that we process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Matching, recommendations, and profile ordering

Blurdy may use information such as your profile details, dating preferences, location, activity, interactions, and safety or moderation signals to suggest profiles, order profiles, improve relevance, and support matching functionality.

The main factors that may influence recommendations include your profile information, dating preferences, approximate location or distance, activity, interactions, and safety or moderation signals.

This helps us show profiles that may be more relevant to you and improve the overall user experience.

Blurdy does not guarantee that you will receive matches, likes, messages, dates, relationships, or any specific outcome.

12. Push notifications and location-based features

Blurdy may send push notifications, emails, alerts, or other messages related to your account, matches, messages, likes, safety updates, paid features, virtual items, app updates, or service-related information.

You can manage push notifications through your device settings. You may also be able to manage certain communication preferences in the app.

Blurdy uses location-based features to show relevant profiles and approximate distance. If you disable or restrict location access, some features may not work properly.

For more information about how we use location data and notification data, please read our Privacy Policy.

13. Subscriptions, paid features, and purchases

Blurdy may offer paid features, subscriptions, boosts, premium access, virtual items, or other in-app purchases.

Prices, features, billing periods, trial periods, renewal terms, and purchase conditions will be shown before you complete a purchase. Some features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s payment, subscription, cancellation, and refund rules. Blurdy does not process your full payment card details.

If you purchase a subscription, it may automatically renew unless you cancel it before the renewal date through your Apple account settings or the applicable platform settings.

Deleting your Blurdy account or deleting the app does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription through the platform where you purchased it.

If you cancel a subscription, you may continue to have access to the subscription features until the end of the paid subscription period, unless your account is suspended, terminated, or otherwise restricted under these Terms.

Unless required by law or by the applicable app store rules, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods, unused features, unused virtual items, or account restrictions caused by a violation of these Terms.

14. Free trials and promotions

Blurdy may offer free trials, discounts, promotional features, promotional virtual items, or limited-time offers.

We may set eligibility rules for promotions and may change, suspend, or end promotions at any time. Promotional offers may not be transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash unless we clearly state otherwise.

If a free trial converts into a paid subscription, we will provide information about this before you start the trial, where required.

Deleting your account or deleting the app does not automatically cancel a free trial or subscription. You must cancel through the platform where you started the trial or subscription.

15. Virtual items and consumable features

Blurdy may offer virtual items, conversation credits, profile boosts, chat extension, profile visibility features, premium interactions, or other limited-use digital features (“Virtual Items”).

Virtual Items are a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access certain features within Blurdy. They do not represent money, stored value, property, real-world currency, or any financial balance.

Virtual Items may only be used within Blurdy and may not be sold, transferred, exchanged, gifted, traded, sublicensed, or redeemed for cash, unless we expressly allow this or applicable law requires otherwise.

Virtual Items may be sold individually, in bundles, as part of subscriptions, as promotional items, or as rewards. The availability, price, quantity, duration, and functionality of Virtual Items may vary.

Some Virtual Items may be consumable, meaning they are used up when activated or applied. Other Virtual Items may expire after a certain period or may only work in certain parts of the app.

We may modify, remove, limit, suspend, discontinue, rebalance, or change Virtual Items or related features where permitted by law. This may affect the perceived value, usefulness, availability, or functionality of Virtual Items.

Unless required by law or applicable app store rules, purchases of Virtual Items are final and non-refundable. We do not provide refunds, credits, or compensation for unused, expired, changed, removed, or unavailable Virtual Items.

If your account is deleted, suspended, restricted, or terminated, or if Blurdy is discontinued, you may lose access to unused Virtual Items without refund or compensation, unless applicable law or app store rules require otherwise.

You must not attempt to obtain Virtual Items through fraud, unauthorized payment methods, technical exploits, chargeback abuse, refund abuse, fake accounts, automation, or other improper means. We may remove Virtual Items, restrict purchases, suspend your account, or take other action if we believe Virtual Items have been obtained or used improperly.

16. Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account in the app by going to Settings > Edit Account > Delete account. You may also contact support@blurdy.co if you need help.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if we believe that:

  • you violated these Terms or our Community Guidelines;
  • you created risk or possible harm for other users, us, or the platform;
  • your account is fake, fraudulent, inactive, unsafe, or misleading;
  • you are under 18 or not allowed to use Blurdy;
  • you misused subscriptions, purchases, refunds, promotions, or Virtual Items;
  • we are required to do so by law;
  • continuing to provide the service to you would create legal, security, reputational, or operational risk.

After account deletion or termination, you may lose access to your account, matches, messages, purchases, subscriptions, Virtual Items, profile, and other data. Some information may be retained as explained in our Privacy Policy.

If your account is banned or terminated, you must not create a new account without our permission.

17. App stores and third-party services

Blurdy may be downloaded through third-party platforms such as the Apple App Store. Your use of those platforms may be subject to their own terms, policies, and payment rules.

If you download Blurdy through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Blurdy, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Blurdy or its content, maintenance, support, warranties, or claims, except as required by applicable law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you as they relate to your use of Blurdy through the Apple App Store.

Blurdy may also rely on third-party service providers for hosting, analytics, subscriptions, payments, infrastructure, safety, support, or other functionality.

We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, platforms, stores, payment providers, or content that we do not control.

18. Intellectual property

Blurdy, including our app, design, features, software, branding, logo, trademarks, text, graphics, user interface, databases, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use Blurdy for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, extract, or exploit any part of Blurdy unless we give you written permission or the law allows it.

19. Copyright and intellectual property complaints

If you believe that content on Blurdy infringes your copyright, trademark, image rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights, you can contact us at support@blurdy.co.

Please include enough information for us to understand and investigate your complaint, such as:

  • your name and contact details;
  • a description of the content or rights involved;
  • where the content appears in Blurdy;
  • why you believe the content violates your rights;
  • any supporting information or evidence.

We may remove or restrict content where we believe it is appropriate or legally required.

20. Availability and changes to Blurdy

We want Blurdy to work well, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device or system.

We may change, update, suspend, remove, rebalance, or discontinue features, subscriptions, Virtual Items, prices, or parts of Blurdy at any time, where permitted by law. We may also perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

21. Disclaimers

Blurdy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not make warranties or guarantees about:

  • the number, quality, suitability, or behavior of users;
  • whether you will receive matches, likes, messages, dates, relationships, or other outcomes;
  • the accuracy of user profiles, Member Content, or User Content;
  • the identity, intentions, background, or conduct of users;
  • the value, performance, effect, or outcome of paid features or Virtual Items;
  • uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the app.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws.

22. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blurdy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, emotional distress, loss of Virtual Items, loss of purchases, or other losses arising from your use of or inability to use Blurdy.

We are not responsible for the conduct, content, or interactions of users, whether online or offline.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws.

23. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate and hold Blurdy harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • your violation of these Terms;
  • your User Content;
  • your misuse of Blurdy;
  • your misuse of subscriptions, purchases, promotions, or Virtual Items;
  • your violation of another person’s rights;
  • your unlawful, unsafe, or harmful conduct.

This section applies only to the extent permitted under applicable law.

24. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example if the law changes, if we introduce new features, if we change subscriptions or Virtual Items, or if our business or platform changes.

The most current version will be made available in the app or on a public webpage. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app, by email, or by another appropriate method.

If you continue to use Blurdy after the updated Terms become effective, you agree to the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using Blurdy and may delete your account.

25. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

If a dispute arises, please contact us first at support@blurdy.co so we can try to resolve it informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, disputes may be brought before the competent courts in the Netherlands, unless applicable consumer protection laws give you the right to bring a claim in another country or court.

26. Miscellaneous

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.

Our failure to enforce a part of these Terms does not mean that we waive our right to enforce it later.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our permission. We may transfer our rights or obligations where permitted by law, for example as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Safety Tips, and any purchase terms shown to you, form the agreement between you and Blurdy.

If these Terms are translated into another language and there is a difference between the English version and a translated version, the English version will apply, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
