Community Guidelines

Last updated: 18 april 2026
Welcome to Blurdy.

Blurdy is a dating app for adults who want to meet, match, chat, and build real connections in a respectful and safe way.

These Community Guidelines explain what kind of behaviour and content is allowed on Blurdy, and what is not.

By using Blurdy, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines, our Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any other safety or platform rules we make available.

Blurdy is only for people who are 18 years of age or older.
1. Be real

Blurdy is built around real people and real connections. Your profile should represent you honestly.

You must not:

  • create a fake profile;
  • impersonate another person;
  • use someone else’s photos without permission;
  • lie about your age;
  • misrepresent your identity, location, intentions, relationship status, or background;
  • create multiple accounts to avoid moderation, restrictions, bans, or safety systems;
  • use AI-generated, heavily altered, or misleading images in a way that misrepresents who you are.

You may use a nickname, shortened name, or display name, as long as it is not misleading and does not impersonate someone else.

2. Respect boundaries and consent

Everyone has different comfort levels. Respecting boundaries is required on Blurdy.

You must not:

  • pressure someone to reply, meet, share photos, share contact details, or continue a conversation;
  • send unwanted sexual messages, comments, photos, or requests;
  • make sexual remarks about someone’s body without consent;
  • send nude, explicit, or sexually suggestive content without clear consent;
  • continue contacting someone after they have unmatched, blocked you, said no, or stopped responding;
  • shame, insult, threaten, or manipulate someone for rejecting you;
  • use guilt, pressure, intimidation, or repeated messaging to get attention or contact.

Consent must be clear, freely given, and can be withdrawn at any time. A match is not consent to sexual content, sexual conversation, or meeting in person.

3. Keep profiles appropriate

Your public profile should be suitable for a dating community where people have not yet chosen to interact with you privately.

Your profile must not include:

  • nudity or pornography;
  • explicit sexual content;
  • sexual services, escorting, compensated dating, or transactional relationships;
  • graphic violence or gore;
  • hate symbols or extremist symbols;
  • weapons displayed in a threatening, violent, or glorifying way;
  • illegal drug use or promotion of illegal activity;
  • QR codes, misleading links, or spam links;
  • private contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, banking details, or login details;
  • content that is designed mainly to drive followers, traffic, sales, or off-platform promotion.

Swimwear or fitness photos may be allowed where they are context-appropriate and not sexually explicit. We may remove photos or profile content that we believe creates safety, privacy, or community risks.

4. No harassment, bullying, or abusive behaviour

Blurdy should feel respectful, even when there is no match, no reply, or no romantic interest.

We do not allow:

  • harassment;
  • bullying;
  • threats;
  • stalking;
  • intimidation;
  • insults, humiliation, or targeted abuse;
  • repeated unwanted contact;
  • doxxing or sharing someone’s private information;
  • encouraging others to harass or target someone;
  • creating new accounts to contact someone who blocked or reported you.

This applies both inside Blurdy and, where relevant to user safety, behaviour outside the app.

5. No hate, discrimination, or dehumanising content

Blurdy is for people of different backgrounds, identities, and experiences. Hate and discrimination are not allowed.

You must not attack, mock, exclude, threaten, fetishize, or dehumanise people based on protected or personal characteristics such as:

  • race or ethnicity;
  • nationality;
  • religion;
  • caste;
  • sex;
  • gender identity or expression;
  • sexual orientation;
  • disability;
  • age;
  • body type;
  • medical condition;
  • immigration status;
  • pregnancy;
  • any other protected or vulnerable characteristic.

Preferences are allowed, but degrading, fetishising, or discriminatory language is not.

6. No violence, threats, or dangerous content

We do not allow content or behaviour that promotes, threatens, encourages, or glorifies violence or serious harm.

This includes:

  • threats of physical or sexual violence;
  • encouraging self-harm or suicide;
  • graphic injuries, gore, death, or violent acts;
  • praise or promotion of violent extremism or terrorism;
  • instructions to harm people or animals;
  • using weapons to intimidate or threaten;
  • content that makes others feel unsafe.

If we believe there is a risk of imminent harm, we may take action, including restricting accounts, contacting relevant authorities, or providing safety resources where appropriate.

7. Protect minors

Blurdy is strictly 18+.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation, child abuse, grooming, or any sexualised content involving minors.

You must not:

  • use Blurdy if you are under 18;
  • upload, request, discuss, share, or link to child sexual abuse material;
  • sexualise minors in text, images, jokes, fantasy, roleplay, or AI-generated content;
  • attempt to groom, exploit, or contact minors;
  • misrepresent your age or encourage another person to do so.

If children appear in profile photos, the content must be appropriate, non-sexual, and must not create safety or privacy risks. We may remove photos involving children, especially where a child appears alone, is identifiable, or the content is inappropriate for a dating profile.

8. No scams, spam, or manipulation

Blurdy is for personal dating connections, not scams, spam, or schemes.

You must not:

  • ask users for money, gifts, loans, crypto, investments, or financial assistance;
  • run romance scams, phishing, fraud, or blackmail;
  • promote investment opportunities, trading schemes, gambling, giveaways, or suspicious offers;
  • ask for passwords, verification codes, bank details, private documents, or login information;
  • send bulk messages, automated messages, or repeated copy-paste messages;
  • mislead users into visiting unsafe links or external platforms;
  • use Blurdy mainly to grow social media followers, sell products, recruit people, or promote services.

If someone asks you for money or financial information, report them.

9. No commercial sexual activity

Blurdy is not a marketplace for sexual services or paid romantic arrangements.

We do not allow:

  • escorting;
  • prostitution;
  • paid sexual services;
  • sugar dating or compensated dating arrangements;
  • solicitation of sexual content for payment;
  • promotion of adult content platforms;
  • trafficking, exploitation, or coercion.
10. Respect privacy

Dating involves trust. Do not misuse another person’s information or content.

You must not:

  • share screenshots, profiles, messages, photos, or personal information from Blurdy without permission;
  • publish or threaten to publish private conversations or intimate content;
  • record or distribute calls, chats, or meetings without consent;
  • doxx, expose, or identify someone against their wishes;
  • use another user’s information for stalking, harassment, commercial purposes, or off-platform targeting.

Only share personal information when you feel safe and ready. Never share passwords, banking details, verification codes, or documents with another user.

11. Use photos and media responsibly

Your photos and media should be yours, honest, and appropriate.

You must not upload:

  • photos that are not yours or that you do not have permission to use;
  • photos that primarily show someone else instead of you;
  • misleading, deceptive, or impersonating images;
  • nudity, pornography, or explicit sexual content;
  • graphic violence, gore, hate symbols, or illegal activity;
  • images containing private personal information, QR codes, payment details, or misleading links;
  • images that violate someone else’s privacy or intellectual property rights.

We may remove photos that make Blurdy less safe, less authentic, or less respectful.

12. Be respectful when dating offline

Our guidelines apply to behaviour that happens through Blurdy and may also apply to relevant behaviour outside the app, including dates, meetups, text messages, calls, social media, or other platforms.

We may take action if we receive credible reports of serious misconduct, including:

  • harassment;
  • stalking;
  • threats;
  • assault;
  • sexual misconduct;
  • coercion;
  • fraud;
  • abuse;
  • dangerous or unlawful behaviour.

Blurdy does not guarantee the safety, identity, intentions, or background of any user. Use your own judgment and follow safety precautions when meeting someone in person.

13. No platform abuse

Do not interfere with Blurdy or try to misuse the platform.

You must not:

  • use bots, scripts, crawlers, automation, or fake accounts;
  • scrape, copy, index, or harvest profiles, photos, messages, or user data;
  • reverse engineer, exploit, overload, or attack the app or its systems;
  • attempt to bypass safety systems, moderation decisions, payment systems, subscriptions, or virtual item restrictions;
  • sell, transfer, or trade accounts, matches, likes, boosts, credits, or other virtual items;
  • abuse refunds, chargebacks, promotions, or virtual items;
  • knowingly submit false reports or appeals.

14. Reporting and blocking trials and promotions

If something feels wrong, unsafe, suspicious, or against these guidelines, please report it.

You can use Blurdy’s in-app reporting or blocking tools where available. You can also contact us at support@blurdy.co.

Reports help us identify unsafe behaviour, fake accounts, harassment, scams, and guideline violations. We may not always be able to share the outcome of a report due to privacy, safety, legal, or security reasons.

Do not abuse the report system. False, malicious, discriminatory, or repetitive reports may lead to action against your account.

15. What happens if you break these guidelines

If you break these Community Guidelines, our Terms and Conditions, or applicable law, we may take action.

Depending on the situation, we may:

  • remove content;
  • ask you to edit or remove content;
  • issue a warning;
  • restrict certain features;
  • limit visibility;
  • remove matches or messages;
  • remove virtual items or paid feature access where allowed;
  • suspend your account;
  • permanently ban your account;
  • prevent you from creating new accounts;
  • report serious matters to relevant authorities where appropriate or required.

We consider the context, severity, risk of harm, repeated behaviour, intent, and available evidence. Some violations may lead to immediate removal or permanent ban.

16. Appeals

If we take action against your account or content and you believe we made a mistake, you can contact us at support@blurdy.co to appeal.

Please include:

  • the email address linked to your Blurdy account;
  • a short explanation of what happened;
  • why you believe the decision was incorrect;
  • any relevant details or evidence.

We may not reverse a decision where doing so would create safety, privacy, legal, fraud-prevention, or security risks.

17. Final note

Blurdy is meant to be a place for real, respectful, and safe dating connections. Treat people like people. Be honest. Respect boundaries. Use the app in good faith.

If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask yourself:

  • Would this make someone feel unsafe, pressured, deceived, or disrespected?
  • Would I be comfortable if this happened to me?
  • Is this honest, consensual, and appropriate for a dating app?

If the answer is no, do not do it.
