How to spot a fake profile

Fake profiles can be used to mislead people, collect personal information, or start scams. While we work to keep the app safe, it is still important to stay alert when meeting someone new.

A profile may be suspicious if:

1. Their photos look overly edited, stolen, or too perfect.
2. They avoid answering simple questions.
3. Their story changes often.
4. They quickly ask to move the conversation outside the app.
5. They ask for money, gifts, crypto, or financial help.
6. They send suspicious links.
7. Their profile has very little personal information.

If something feels off, trust your instincts. You do not have to continue the conversation.

You can report fake or suspicious profiles directly from their profile or chat. Reporting helps us review the account and protect other users.
